This is designed for someone who wants to sample the best beer that Reading has to offer without walking too far

This route takes in 8 Reading pubs and one taproom. It’s a 3km walk in total, with no more than 10 minutes between each location.

Start at The Nags Head, voted best pub in Reading multiple times
6 minutes walk to The Castle Tap, a quirky neighborhood pub with a good selection of beer and cider
5 minutes walk to Brewdog with it’s classic selection of beers
1 minute walk to Blue Collar Corner, a food market with a bar serving beer from local brewery, Double Barrelled
1 minute walk to the Allied Arms, a traditional town center pub in a 16th century building
3 minutes walk to the Grumpy Goat. Head upstairs to the bar, or stop for some cheese downstairs too
5 minutes walk to the Oakford Social Club (a regular pub, despite the name)
4 minutes walk to the Greyfriar, a popular pub near the station with a great selection of beers
10 minutes walk to Phantom Brewery to finish off in a local taproom. Check the times of opening as they are only open late on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays
